Jude Hatt Posts Bail, Accused of Murdering His Wife
Nashville man, Jude Hatt, arrested and charged with premeditated murder.
Nashville resident, Jude Hatt, was arrested on Wednesday, January 25th, and charged with premeditated murder after the death of his wife, Jennifer Hatt. Hatt was booked into Davidson County jail, where he posted a $500,000 bond and was released.
Timeline of Events
On Tuesday, January 24th, at approximately 10:30 PM, the Nashville Police Department (NPD) responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at the Hatt residence. Upon arrival, officers discovered Jennifer Hatt lying on the floor with a gunshot wound to the head.
Jennifer Hatt was pronounced dead at the scene. Jude Hatt was taken into custody and questioned by detectives.
Hatt's Arrest and Charges
After questioning, Jude Hatt was arrested and charged with premeditated murder. The arrest warrant alleges that Hatt shot his wife in the head with a .38 caliber revolver.
Hatt made his first court appearance on Thursday, January 26th, where he entered a plea of not guilty. A judge set his bond at $500,000, which he posted that same day.
